So next we walked next door to Mickey's house. Although adorable - it is rather disappointing after Minnie's house. At Minnie's house you can touch everything and sit on every piece of furniture... but at Mickey's house you can look but not touch. The mouse is so important his stuff is behind velvet ropes. What?
The kids still liked it - but they really wanted to touch everything.
This is on a splash pad at Donald's Boat. Great place to cool off... but there were many unsupervised kids (some of which I reprimanded ;).
So... here is a little tidbit... if you are a big fan of Toon Town you may be in for a big disappointment. It is rumored they are tearing down Mickey and Minnie's houses to build a fairy world. Yes, really. They are getting rid of the Mouse's house!
I wish Disney would call me... what they should really do is up date it to look like neighborhood... think Disney meets Pleasantville. All the traditional characters should have their own houses in a cul- de sac. You know, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and Pete. They should all be hand on and in the middle their should be a fountain and a kids playground. Then all the other "streets" in the circle could lead to Toon Town food, rides, etc. I mean really who came up with the idea to ditch Mickey, Minnie and Donald for a fairy? I like her as much as the next girl (maybe more) but we must have a Toon Town!
PS - Tina feel free to pitch my ideas at your next meeting. ;)
