Easter Morning

On Easter morning we made Resurrection Rolls. This is the third or fourth time we have made them and they were the best ones we made so far. They are a simple and effective Easter "recipe" to do with your kids. They represent the tomb with Jesus' body inside.

Two packages of canned biscuit dough (we used Pillsbury Grands).

8 Marshmallows

1/2 stick melted butter

cinnamon and sugar

1. Flatten out the biscuits.
2. Use one biscuit as the bottom.
3. Dip a marshmallow in melted butter.
4. Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
5. Place gooey covered marshmallow in the middle of the flatten biscuit.
6. Cover with another flattened biscuit.
7. Seal the edges together (like a pie crust).
8. Place on greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon/ sugar.
9. Bake as directed.

As they cook the marshmallow will melt - but it leaves the perfect outline of the marshmallow. When you crack your tomb open it will be empty- just like Resurrection morning.

Sound too simple? It is perfect for pre-schoolers.

Then on to Easter baskets... full of all kinds of goodies to rot little teeth.
