One Happy Boy

On Saturday night the kids were invited to a birthday party at one of the jumpy places. Before we went I was concerned that the twins would not be able to do anything by themselves... but I was wrong. They climbed all over the equipment (mostly by themselves), but their favorite was the big slide. The climbed the "ladder" by themselves, and shot down (overjoyed) the slide. This is a photo of Isaac, the happiest kid alive, on his way down! (My camera is still broken, a friend emailed the pic!)

no new posts

our camera is broken... sorry about the lack of posts. we are planning to get a new one this week, and then we will be back to the blogging world!

First Day of PreSchool

The twins started pre-school two weeks ago. So far they love it and cannot get enough... they ask to go everyday (but only get to go two days a week)! Here they are in all there schooly cuteness.

The (not as good as the state) Fair

So on Saturday night, I had the GREAT idea of taking the kids to the local fair. You have to understand, I grew up with the state fair and I thought they were all like that. Not so, my friend, not so. Even though we did enjoy delicious corndogs, the offerings at this fair were meager and comical. The petting zoo was a joke, there were no cool skills (like logging or caning) being demonstrated, there were no outstanding cakes, and I never saw a caramel apple! I think in the future we will just have t make the drive for the state fair and enjoy the real deal! Even though John and I laughed about the local "fair" Ethan had a big time. We told him he could choose 2 rides. He choose "dumbo" and the Ferris wheel. We were worried that he would freak out at the top of the Ferris wheel - but he loved it! (The only one sweating was John - he hates heights). Enjoy...

The Newest Yankee

A couple of weeks ago, E started T- Ball. He has had several practices, but his first game was Saturday. So far we like it better than the soccer experience, but I will say the games are really slow. Is it just me or does the 45 minute game (where they barely made it through 2 innings) seem to be half the day. His team choose the NY Yankees as the team name and he took Babe Ruth's number. Enjoy a couple of shots...

Watching the field be prepared.

Ethan in the outfield.

Team in the dug out.

Up to bat. Notice how he knocked the t down with the ball... he's still learning.

This post is for everyone who asks why I don't have a recent picture of all my kids...

Last weekend at my parents we decided to go to a local park and hike around... one of the kids favorite activities. While hiking, swinging, walking and playing I attempted to get a decent picture of all three of my kids.... personally I think it would be easier to fly my bike to the moon. They hate sitting and posing. I have read blogs, listened to advice, bribed, scolded, and begged- but the Olan Mills experience escapes me. Maybe one day. Hope you enjoy the best of the worst...

“When I was young, I said to God, 'God, tell me the mystery of the universe.' But God answered, 'That knowledge is for me alone.' So I said, 'God, tell me the mystery of the peanut.' Then God said, 'Well George, that's more nearly your size.' And he told me.”- George Washington Carver
