Halloween Fun

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. We definitely got our money out of Ethan's costume. He wore it everyday for a month and to several Halloween or Fall Festival Events. We decided not to go Trick or Treating this year for several reasons - but mostly because our neighborhood gets way too into it. There were several front yards overly decorated with headstones, goblins, dry ice etc. Just driving past these have given Ethan nightmares- I am not sure how he would have handled walking up to them or even past them. Ethan is still talking about the monster that lives in his neighborhood- from driving past one of these goblin looking things. And, he can not be talked out of this belief since he will be quick to tell you "I saw it!" Here are all three of our kiddos. Isaac was a fireman, Livy was a dalmatian, and Ethan was a fireman. This photo was actually on Halloween night. We went to a local church with some friends for a "scare- free" fall festival. Ethan had a blast with all the games and bounce houses. He also received more candy there than he will ever be allowed to eat!!! By the time this shot was taken - Ethan was completely worn out and ready for bed.
On Tuesday night we went to the natural Science Center for their Boo Bash. It was fun, but way too crowded! Above you will see Ethan playing one of the games.

Last Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo with some friends. The weather was beautiful and a lot of the animals were out and active because of the nice fall day. Ethan had a really good time. This was my favorite (Shannon) of the Halloween events. We will definitely attend again.

Ethan's favorite little girl Caroline was there as an adorable ladybug.

They looked like they had so much fun . . . I know Ethan must have passed out for the night- he did look so cute and tired in the first picture!

Cute! Looks like a fun time. That's exactly why we won't be able to go trick or treating either...too many nasty things in people's yard. What a bummer...it was a blast for me as a kid. :(
