Ethan's Soccer Team

Ethan played soccer again for the 5th year. John coach's the team, and although it is time consuming, I am glad he is able and that Ethan wants him to coach. Below are a couple of shots of the last game of the year.
Go Lightning!!

The field is a lot bigger than the field Isaac's age group plays on. Therefore, the pictures are much further away. Ethan is wearing royal blue shorts.

The team.
Proudly holding up their trophies.
The are a great group of 8 year old boys!!

They always have to have a goofy shot. Always!

Isaac's Soccer Team

Isaac played soccer all year and really LOVED it. He would definitely say this is his favorite sport. John was the assistant coach of the team (which is why you see him pictured below).

Before the game. Trying to get a team photo. Only about half the team was present and (as you can see) the boys would NOT be serious.

5 Year Old All Star!

Isaac in action.

After the game. Trying to get a good shot of the team. "Trying" being the key word.

Ethan's Musical Debut

Last week, Ethan made his stage debut in the Second Grade Musical. He has usually been pretty shy about any type of performance, but to my surprise Ethan volunteered for a speaking part in the musical. He was also front and center for the dancing scene. Check him out below. He is in a black t- shirt and jeans.

The entire 2nd grade opening up with a group number.

Ethan's class about to perform.

Ethan saying his lines to the audience. He said them perfectly!

Playing the "rhythm sticks".

It is hard to see here because they were moving so fast, but Ethan is "Walking like an Egyptian".

The next several pics Ethan and his class are doing their own version of the "

Bowling Birthday Bash!

So we have had a couple of birthdays around here... and although it is still hard for me to believe we now have an eight year old and two five year olds!
This year we decided to have a party that was not at our house. (At the request of the kids and the husband). So the kids (the boys really, Liv just went along with it) picked a bowling party.
Here are the pics to prove how fun the party was!

Bowling Birthday Cake. Yes I bought a special pan to make a perfectly spherical ball... if you want to borrow it let me know!!
The birthday cuties. Made the shirts myself with printable iron - on transfers. Thought they turned out cute. Wish I would have invented that!

Bowling cutie. Sort of looks like she is standing in front of a walker, but it is actually a ramp that little ones can use to roll their bowling ball down the lane. made bowling a lot easier for the smallest among us.

Watching his ball... hoping it will make it all the way down the lane!!

The older crowd. Definitely the most into the actual game.

Goofy cousins.

Now for the best part... singing and eating cake!

“When I was young, I said to God, 'God, tell me the mystery of the universe.' But God answered, 'That knowledge is for me alone.' So I said, 'God, tell me the mystery of the peanut.' Then God said, 'Well George, that's more nearly your size.' And he told me.”- George Washington Carver
